From 2015 to 2016 he starred as Father Nicholas in the TV series The Jim Gaffigan Show. He has starred in the films Tanyaradzwa, Zimbabwe, Skin, Mr. Bones 2: Back from the Past, Geezas, and Happiness Is a Four-letter World. Chirisa has also appeared in episodes of the TV series NCIS: Los Angeles, H+, American Horror Story, and Sleep Hollow. He graduated from The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance.
