The Brescia family has taken over the control of a group of companies know as Grupo Brescia, with interests in a vast number of industries like agriculture, fish products, cement, paint products, explosives, welding, insurance, banking, mining and real estate. Rosa, along with her two sons and three daughters, owns 30% of Grupo Brescia, and thus has joined the narrow list of Peruvian billionaires. One of her sons, Bernardo Fort Brescia, is the man who designed Lima’s tallest building, the Westin Lima Hotel, which is owned by the Grupo Brescia, among numerous other buildings in the US and Peru.
