Giannopoulos has starred in the films 100% Wool, Mull, The Wog Boy, Criminal Ways, The Kings of Mykonos, and Fat Pizza vs. Housos. He also served as a writer for the series Acropolis Now. In 2010 Giannopoulos was nominated an Australian Film Institute Award for The Kings of Mykonos.
