He started in the industry at the age of 13 as a busboy and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. Colameco then worked as a line cook and then a sous chef. He has been a chef at New York City restaurants including Windows on the World, Tavern on the Green, and The Ritz Carlton Hotel. Colameco served as the owner and chef of his restaurant The Globe.  He then founded MECO Trading and became an import food broken.
