Besser conceived and wrote for the television series Inside the Master Class from 2011 to 2012. He created and wrote for the TV series UCB Comedy Originals from 2008 to 2012 and The UCB Show since 2016. Besser has also appeared in several TV series including Reno 911!, Parks and Recreation, The Hotwives of Orlando, The Hotwives of Las Vegas, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Drunk History, and Modern Family. Matt married actress Danielle Schneider in 2008.
