He became a CEO at the age of 29, sold MTech in 1988 and in few days set up Affiliated Computer Services to offer computer and other business process services to clients such as E-ZPass. Initially, ACS handled data services for the finance industry, but under Deason’s leadership, the company has gone through major expansions. It started working for other sectors and industries such as education, government, financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, travel, transportation, insurance and communication. Later on, he took ACS public before selling it to Xerox for $6.4 billion in 2010. Deason and his fifth wife, Katerina, 27 years his junior, now both enjoy in his riches, mainly splitting their time between Dallas, San Diego and their 205-foot yacht “Apogee.”
