Hogan went undrafted in 2011 and was signed to the practice squads of the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants in 2011, and the Miami Dolphins from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015 he played for the Buffalo Bills. Hogan signed a three year deal with the New England Patriots in 2016 for $12 million. He set a Patriots franchise record for most yards receiving in a playoff game with 180 in the AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
